You can only access your UNIX shell through one of our dial-up modem pools. Telnet access to your UNIX shell from other locations on the internet is not possible for security reasons. We do not offer an "inbound-telnet" account. You must be a dial-access customer of ours to have a shell account with NetK2NE, absolutely without exception.

All ISDN accounts include 60 hours of B-channel use per month.
This can be single (64K) channel for 60 hours, or double/bonded (128K)
channels for 30 hours, or any combination thereof. Use above 60
hours is billed at the rate of $1.00 per B-Channel-Hour.

Personal SLIP/PPP accounts do not have a setup fee, are on an un-metered basis with no hourly fees, but no more than 15 minutes continuous "idle time" is permitted while connected.
Personal SLIP/PPP un-metered accounts are for interactive use. The use of email-checkers, ping-daemons, or any other software or procedure the sole reason for which is to keep a connection alive in the absence of actual live interactive use of the connection is a violation of our usage policy and will result in the automatic upgrade of the customer account to dedicated SLIP/PPP status.
Personal SLIP/PPP accounts are assigned "dynamic" IP addresses depending on which modem port is reached on each call to our facilities. For this reason it is not practical, nor is it permissable for a user to run server software while connected using a Personal SLIP/PPP account.
We will do this for you and charge you only $1,000.00 per month (for a single PRI to your box) or $1,750 per month (for two PRIs to the same box)! Additionally, we will allow you to have physical access to our facility on a "24/7" basis, or will provide on-site "remote hands" service at no extra charge.
A setup fee of $1,500.00 payable at inception is required. For more information please feel free to call the office.
Note: RAS hardware can be rented to you on an "as available" basis if you do not already own a suitable hardware solution. Should you decide to rent your RAS hardware from us, rates start at $300.00 per month (for a single PRI) or $450.00 per month (for dual-PRI machines). Please contact the office for more details.
There is a twenty percent surcharge for 56K Analog if the POP you use supports that speed.
Any applicable tax(es) are not included in the prices listed.
Any telephone-company "FCC subscriber line charges" are also not included in the prices listed. This charge will appear only on your first invoice each year and will include the entire year in advance for this item.

Startup fee for Dedicated SLIP/PPP:$400.00 (28.8 or 33.6 kbps)
This includes installation of your own private phoneline with unlisted number,
assignment of a fixed IP address, and your own modem. The
modem remains your property should you decide to terminate your
service with your account in good standing.
Facility Allocation fee: $480.00 (56K Analog)
This one-time fee is for your continuous use of one of our 56K digital ports. This
fee does not apply and will not be charged unless you are assigned to use
one of our digitial dial-up facilities. If this fee applies to your
situation then you will not be charged the "Startup Fee" described
in the previous paragraph.
About Domain Registration...
We regret that with the new InterNIC policy of charging for domain names, we
can no longer include this as a free service. We will handle the
registration process for you at absolutely no cost to you, but the
fee for registering your domain-name must be paid, by you, directly to
Network Solutions Inc. (the InterNIC). Their current fee is $100.00 to
register, which includes the first two years, then $50.00 per year
thereafter.
The Alternative...
If you can live with a machine name like yourmachine.k2nesoft.com
or yourmachine.netk2ne.net for your dedicated SLIP/PPP connection,
then we can save you the hassle and the expense of domain registration and
put your machine right onto our existing network! Call for details.
A one-year minimum commitment is required (in most cases) to open a Dedicated SLIP/PPP account. Discounts are available for multi-year contracts, multiple connections, or IRS-recognized non-profit educational institutions.
We also offer a full range of leased-line connectivity options starting at 56k all the way to a full T1 connection. The exact cost of this service depends heavily on the nature of your LAN, anticipated load, and the distance between your location and our Network Operation Center.

We will gladly provide domain name services to anyone else in accordance with the following fee schedule:
We will register your domain for you with the InterNIC for a one-time fee of $300.00. This includes the process of determining the availability of a domain name prior to submitting the registration form(s). This also includes resubmitting any form(s) rejected by the InterNIC because of errors on our part or because the domain you initially requested was not available for any reason. If the domain name you initially requested was not available, we will resubmit up to two additional requests at no additional charge.
Please note that we will not pay your InterNIC registration fee for you or on your behalf. You will be solely responsible to the InterNIC for any fee(s) charged by them for domain name registration and/or modification and/or maintenance.
We will provide primary domain name service (both "forward" and "reverse") for $150.00 per month.
We will provide secondary domain name service at no cost for any registered domain willing and able to provide reciprocal service(s) for our domain(s).

Our setup fee, in all cases, is quoted to include the appropriate router and CSU/DSU for your site, and sufficient consultation to establish the connection. If you already own networking hardware which meets the needs for your site and the specifications for our network, we will "back out" the cost of those items that we do not have to provide. Our Monthly Fees do not include what you will have to pay to your local telephone company. This service, which is commonly known as the local-loop charge, is regulated by tariff and charged to you directly by your telephone company. While we are glad to place your leased-line order for you, the bill will be in your name and you will then deal with the telephone company directly on this issue. |

We offer generous discounts on the monthly fee portion of your leased line connection through NetK2NE for prepaying on an annual or semi-annual basis. We also offer a discount plan for multiple leased-line purchases, as well as a commission plan for referring leased line business to us. | Month to Month |
Month-to-month pricing for all digital leased-line connections is at the rate of 2.5 times the Commercial/Resellable One Year Term monthly price. For example, a 56 Kilobit PPP connection, on a month-to-month basis, will cost $1,250.00 per month. A full T-1 PPP connection, on a month-to-month basis will cost $3,125.00 per month. Term commitments allow us to efficiently plan and support our network. Anything which decreases this capability dramatically increases our cost which, regrettably, must be passed on to the customer. |

It is our belief that the Internet should be accessible to as many people as possible, at a rate as affordable as possible. With this goal in mind, we have established what we call the NetK2NE Internet Partners Program.
The problem: Southern New Jersey, for historical reasons, has been segmented by the phone company in such a way that most communities are very limited in their "local calling areas." Unlike other states, where entire area-codes are often one large "local calling area" we do not have that luxury. For an internet service provider, this presents a huge obstacle when trying to offer internet access to the largest number of people at the lowest possible cost.
Our solution: We are willing to offer a profit-sharing opportunity to any individual or business that is willing to "host" one of our modem-pools (known in the trade as a "point of presence", or POP).
